True, claps mean nothing
Yet they bring writers joy; sense
Of validation.
I have written about this in some of my pieces before, but I’ll say it again: we each have an unlimited amount of claps (50 max per story, but no daily maximums), so why not clap abundantly if you like a story?
For me, if a story is well-written, and I liked it enough to read it — even if I don’t love it enough to save it and tweet it and send it to all my friends — I can honor the writer and his/her process and validate them with my claps.
