Investment projects worth over 9.7bn rubles have been approved in Crimea.

Under investment agreements, 257 investment projects are being implemented with a total investment of RUB 455.15 billion.

Investment projects in construction, resorts and tourism with a total planned investment of over 9.7bn rubles have been agreed at a meeting of the Council for Improving the Investment Climate in the Republic of Crimea. This was reported by Irina Kiviko, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers — Minister of Finance of the Republic of Crimea.

“The investment projects are different and concern different areas of the economy and will be implemented in the western, southern, eastern and central parts of the Crimean peninsula. The total amount of planned investments will exceed 9.7bn rubles and about 200 new jobs will be created,” the deputy prime minister said.

The biggest project the investor is planning to implement in the town of Saki. It will be a modern tourist apart-complex with an arboretum, a cascade pool, a gastro-quarter with a restaurant, a food court, a cafe, a bar, a children’s cafe, and a spa complex.

“A very interesting project that aims to develop the western part of the Crimean peninsula. The planned amount of investment will exceed 8.7 billion rubles, which is important for the region — 140 new jobs are expected to be created. We expect it to be implemented as soon as possible,” Irina Kiviko said.

The investment project for the renovation of the Miskhor-Ai-Petri aerial tramway was agreed at the Council meeting. The investment project is aimed at renovating the existing single property complex consisting of objects and buildings of the aerial tramway. It is planned to introduce automation for security systems of the object, replacement of traction ropes, installation of system of control of temperature sensors of rotating parts, renewal of electro technical equipment, performance of repair-restoration works on building structures and technological equipment. The planned investments will amount to 150 million rubles. Previous jobs will be retained and new ones will be created.

Another project with a total planned investment of over 853 million rubles wants to be implemented by an investor in Yalta to build a 9-storey apartment building. In the Simferopolsky district, an investor plans to build a warehouse complex for 42.9 million rubles.
