A factory in production for one million years

The Acheulean stone knife appears 1.7 million years ago in southern Africa. It predates the homo genus and was passed down from generation to generation for 1.5 million years. Olorgesailie is one site where the stone tools were made. The hill of stone shards left at Olorgesailie to this day was a factory which was in business for one MILLION years.

Someone along the way made one spearhead that was so large no hominid could lift and throw it. That spearhead was either a model or an object of worship.
