Team Members:

Working on this project a team of 3 namely:

i)Mary Okumbe(myself)

ii)Careen Naitore

iii)Ronny Opunga

We decided not to give each one of as a specific role but work together continuously as one tends to notice where they have gaps and work on them.

It all started after several months deep diving into software development foundations, learning and discovering more about technology as a whole at AlxSE taking a software engineering course.

After weeks of hardwork and some sleepless nights trying to get the hack, peer learning came in handy and here we are now working on on our portfolio project.

Building a website has been made simpler with the advancing technology due to so many learning resources available online. With much dedication one can make a website within days. Without saying much, working on our ecommerce website we have challenges negotiating on the technologies to use on the back-end side, whether to use MySQL or APIs.

You can always use an IDE of choice as for me I used vim but for HTML and CSS I would recommend visual studio code.

Visual studio code(VS code) provides a better preview of code into a web page.

Example this is your html code below and you want to preview it in a web page

We applied the three languages on the front-end and all in all it looked better and fantastic. We used Javascript to make our web application more interactive and smooth navigation into our web pages .

HTML is for structure and CSS to add styles to our web page.

As at now we mainly focused on the front-end that is how the web-page would look like and we’ll start working on the databases and the necessary apis so that whenever a customer places an order they are served accordingly.
